Standing on Fisher Street and typing "coffee Salisbury NC" or "electrician near me," most people see a small map with three or so pins before any website appears. A lot of buying decisions end right there.
Each pin is a Google Business Profile. Which ones appear depends on the chosen category, how fully the listing is filled out, the reviews it has gathered and the distance to whoever is searching. Distance is fixed. Everything else can be tightened up, and a careful, complete listing tends to be the fastest local win going.
A playbook, not a takeover
Plenty of vendors want to be added as managers so they can tinker behind the curtain. That's not how we work. The listing ranks among the most important things you hold online, so the controls stay with you. You get a written, stage-by-stage playbook, and Roger optimizes alongside you, explaining each edit as you make it.
What the playbook covers
- Categories
- The primary category that matches what you do, plus honest secondary ones.
- Business details
- Name, phone number, hours and street address spelled identically on the listing and the site.
- Service area
- Only places you actually cover, say Spencer, China Grove, Mocksville or Salisbury itself.
- Services
- Named the way customers say them, each pointing at its matching page.
- Photos
- Which pictures earn attention, and a sensible rhythm for adding fresh ones.
- Reviews
- Fair ways to invite feedback, and how to reply to praise and complaints alike.
- Posts
- When posting on your profile is worth the time, and what to say.
- Website link
- Sending visitors to whichever page helps them most, which is not always the front door.
Why it pairs with your website
Google cross-checks the listing against your pages. Matching details make each look more believable. So the playbook lives inside our search service, and each site we build launches already lined up with the profile. Honest reviews help too; see how ours read on critics' notes.
We never promise a position on the map, and we never write, buy or trade reviews.
Google profile questions
Do you have to be added to my listing?
Never. Manager access to a client's Google listing is something we don't accept. The edits are yours to make, playbook open, with Roger talking you through them on a call or a shared screen if you like.
I work from a van, not a storefront. Is a profile still worth it?
Absolutely. Mobile trades can keep a home address private and show the communities they travel to.
How is it billed?
Profile coaching is folded into local SEO, so it's priced as one package once Roger has had a look at your business.
